Track the Flow of Information

Two reason, why people use internet .i.e to connect with people and to get new information.

Internet is basically for sharing information. And we bloggers are doing the process of making the information easy and digestible.

If you feel that you're understanding what we're explaining, then we're going in a correct path of blogging. But to keep you updated with new information, we do a lot of hard work.

Believe me, explaining a concept is much more easier (bit tough too..) than that of finding a new information to start with. This is the reason why i spend maximum of my time for collecting information and here in this post, i'm going tell you How i do my information digesting job..

I use FeedDemon to track rss feeds:

Unlike other bloggers, i don't use Google Reader because i'm not friendly with it and even i can't access my feeds when my internet fails. So, i use FeedDemon.. It's a Desktop application which allows you to track different blog's feed and even you can read those content offline.

FeedDemon has an option to export your feeds. So that you can import those feed to your online feed readers or you can back up your feeds, if you fear to loose your information sources.

I Use Twitter to Track:

I don't use twitter to increase my followers.. if you see my twitter profile, you may notice that my following is more than my followers and truly speaking i'm not in an activity of increasing my followers count with "Follow-Following Marketing".

The unnecessary following of people to increase my follower counts could make my tweet stream look like a garbage.. so, i avoid such activities. I only follow the people or blogs which tweet the worth links in real-time. I follow the brand's official twitter profile to track down their activities.

Following great people in twitter has broaden my information source and even i get a vast choice of choosing topics to brain-storm ideas.

I added Blogroll:

Just roll your eyeballs over my blog's right sidebar.. Can you see some blogrolls? Actually, these blogroll links are of those blogs which i love to read and it keep on reminding me of the topics that i have deep interest.

For me, Blogroll is like a pole star, which keeps my mind constantly fixed to particular topics on which i write..

I Stick some Important Blogging Rules in my Wall:

I have stick few pages on the wall near my computer, which consist some printed blogging rules by Seth Godin. Seth Godin, internet's most influenced marketer has created an evergeen blogging rules which compelled me to have a print out of its copy and stick on my wall.

Whenever i face writer's block, i go through those inspiring blogging rules and energize myself to continue writing.

I frequently visit forums that raise helpful and evergreen discussions:

I enjoy the discussions on Forums... They're very helpful, in case you're searching for people who had faced practical problem and got the solution, and those are shared publicly.

Some of the forums and discussion place that i'd like to Share with you (for Bloggers):
Google Webmaster Forum. (for SEO related problems)
Warrior Forum (for affiliate marketing and content creation tips - Internet Marketing)
Webmaster World (tracking the flow of webmaster's discussion)
Quora (social Q/A forum to know the answers of big professionals like Robert Scoble, Louis Gray, etc)

Always, keep your eyes on social media to track down the information... And also raise discussion on Facebook and recently launched Google+ for new content ideas.
